Tamika has been an Associate at Peter D. Maynard Counsel & Attorneys since 2021. Her expertise spans across multiple practice groups, including contractual matters, real estate, company and corporate matters, estate planning, and civil litigation.
Tamika obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Law and Criminal Justice Studies in 2015 from The University of The Bahamas, where she later graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction in 2019. She has a strong legal foundation and served as an Intern at the Court of Appeal of The Bahamas in 2017, where she assisted in Judicial Research for the judgments of Dame Anita Allen, the then President of the Court of Appeal.
Tamika attended Eugene Dupuch Law School, obtaining her Legal Education Certificate in 2021. Most recently, she earned an Advanced Certificate in Company Law and Practice from STEP in 2023. She is a STEP Member and serves as the Director of The International Western Hemisphere Arbitration, Adjudication and Mediation Centre.
Tamika is also passionate about community engagement and has been involved in volunteer initiatives with organizations such as the Seahorse Institute, Great Commission Ministries International, Abilities Unlimited, and the Old Bight Children’s Home in Cat Island.
Outside of her professional commitments, Tamika enjoys cooking, maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness, and spending quality time with her children.
