Managing Partner

Jason T. Maynard began working at Peter D. Maynard, Counsel & Attorneys, in 2001. He was appointed Partner in 2008, and appointed Managing Partner in 2026.  He was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales and the Bar of The Bahamas in 2001, and is a Member of The Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. 

His practice focuses on commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on international fraud, asset tracing and recovery.  He has acted in matters at all levels of the courts of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, including the Industrial Tribunal, the Magistrate’s Court, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.  He has also participated in arbitrations before the London Court of International Arbitration and has appeared before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. 

Jason has successfully handled a wide range of prominent matters in which he has represented international credit card companies, offshore bank and trust companies, foreign trustees in bankruptcy, foreign judgement creditors, company liquidators and debtors, insurance companies, owners and crew of vessels and asset management companies.  He also handles conveyancing and mortgage matters, intellectual property registrations and divorces. Furthermore, he has also delivered presentations on asset tracing and recovery, arbitral awards and claims, and trust and digital assets in The Bahamas. 

He is a member of the ICC Fraudnet, the Commonwealth Lawyer’s Association, and the International Bar Association.  He serves as the Executive Director of the Dignified Girls Project, a Bahamian non-profit organization. 

Outside of his professional practice, he enjoys coaching soccer, reading, travelling, exercising and is an avid runner.
