Mr. Colin A. Jupp is a Partner at the law firm of Peter D. Maynard Counsel and Attorneys.  He studied History and Philosophy at King’s College London at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Double Honors.  Following that, he read law and studied theology at King’s College London at the University of London in England, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws LLB Degree with Upper Second-Class Honors and an AKC (Associate of King’s College) for completing his Theological Studies.

He then obtained his Masters of Law LLM degree from King’s College London at the University of London in England specializing in Banking and Finance Law with Merit. He then successfully completed his Bar Vocational Training at the Inns of Court School of Law in London England and was called to both the Bar of England and Wales and The Bahamas in 2008. Furthermore, he is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, ACIArb.

He is the Chair of the Firm’s Family, Trusts and Estates Practice Group.Additionally, he regularly advises clients in connection with arbitration matters, civil and commercial disputes and real estate transactions. He is a lecturer at Omega College, Nassau Bahamas, in Business and Labour Law.  He has co-authored several articles which have been published in leading journals including ‘Planning and Administration of Offshore and Onshore Trusts Issue 33’, ‘Oxford Journals’ Trust and Trustees, 2011′, and The Journal of International Tax, Trust and Corporate Planning Issue 2 Vol. 18, 2011 among others.

He is a member of The Rotary Club of South East Nassau where he is a Paul Harris Fellow and former Chair of the Youth and Literacy Committee and the Health and Wellness Committee.  He regularly conducts pro bono legal clinics on Wills and Estate Planning and is a promoter of Arbitration regionally as an organizer ofthe Arbitration and Investment Summit hosted by Peter D. Maynard Counsel and Attorneys over the past decade.  

In his spare time he enjoys reading philosophy, playing basketball, squash,swimming and traveling.
