Jason T. Maynard is a partner at Peter D. Maynard, Counsel & Attorneys.  His practice focuses on the area of commercial litigation, specialising in international fraud, asset tracing and recovery. 

He has handled cases at all levels in the courts of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, including the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, and has participated in arbitrations before the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and has appeared before The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (JCPC).  

He attended McGill University, Montreal, Canada, from 1994 – 1998, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science; University of London, Queen Mary & Westfield College,London, England, from 1998 – 2000, where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., Honours) and BPP Law School. London, England, from 2000 – 2001, where he completed the Bar Vocational Course (BVC, Very Competent). 

He was admitted to the Bar of England, Wales and The Bahamas in 2001 and has been a Partner at Peter D. Maynard, Counsel & Attorneys since 2008.

He has spoken at the C5 Fraud, Asset Tracing and Recovery Conference in Miami, Florida, addressed The Bahamas Financial Services Board on trusts in The Bahamas and moderated the firm’s Arbitration and Investment Caribbean Latin America and Other Emerging Markets from 2019 to 2023. 

He is a member of ICC Fraudnet, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, The Bahamas Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

He is an Executive Director of the Dignified Girls Project, a soccer coach and an avid runner.
